Make plans to be at church on Sunday, March 1, to worship with Bishop Rehberg, celebrate confirmations, and give thanks for our patron saint, St. David of Wales. March 1 is St. David's Day, so our scripture readings will be those assigned for his patronal day: Proverbs 15:14-21, Psalm 135:13-21, 1 Thessalonians 2:7b-12, and March 4:26-29. Even though we will be in the season of Lent, with a more austere look about the worship space, we will celebrate the day with daffodils, one of the symbols of St. David.
Following worship, we'll have a reception in the fellowship hall to honor our new confirmands and welcome the bishop. She will share in a time of questions and answers, so if there's anything you are curious about regarding the Church, scripture, theology, God, the world, the Diocese, or whatever, bring your questions on that day!
