Kick Off on Sunday, October 15!
Our Financial Giving Campaign (a ministry of our Stewardship Team) kicks off this year on Sunday, October 15th! On that day, each “giving unit” (e.g. family, individual, couple) will have an envelope with a letter from our Campaign Leader, John Finlon, a Commitment card, and a STEP UP in Giving chart.
The Commitment Card this year is a bit different than past years in that there is only one version of it – the card that you offer on Commitment Sunday is the card that you indicate your financial giving for 2024 and your interests in sharing of your “works and wisdom” AND that you sign. You do not keep a copy for yourself, so make sure that you write down what you are making a commitment for in the coming year!
As you prepare to fill out the Commitment Card, you are invited to pray and discern what your practice of giving for mission and ministry at St. David’s will be. Please also listen to and read stewardship stories from members of the congregation and printed in the bulletin and newsletter.
You are also invited to our Harvest of Blessing dinner on Saturday, October 28, beginning at 5:30pm. We will be offering you a meal of chili, cornbread, slaw, brownies, and drinks (Veg/GF available); we will also be showing pictures and hearing stories of our mission and ministry together as the people of God at St. David’s.
The campaign will end on Commitment Sunday, November 19, when we will all turn in our Commitment Cards.
