St. David's Episcopal Church -- 2008 Vestry Stewardship Statement
We, the Vestry of St. David’s Episcopal Church, believe that God is the source of all gifts - spiritual and material - and our faithful response is to be givers and creators ourselves. We are also guided by the biblical statement, “Where your treasure is, there will your heart be also,” and so believe it is essential not just to give of our time and talent, but also of our financial resources. We therefore commit ourselves to prayerfully appreciate our many blessings and, as good stewards of those gifts, to give a significant and growing portion of our financial resources each year to God’s work in the community of St. David’s. We invite the parish to make this statement its own, to join us in this journey of joyful giving, and to strengthen the community of St. David’s.
